Research
For my PhD, I investigated challenges and opportunties for enhancing urban sustainability using the lens of people's everyday movement through the city. Based on participatory research with inhabitants and city planners, and an innovative methodology involving digital mapping and urban experiments (such as Mobile Cityscapes / Interactivos?'12), the research resulted in a prototype platform, 'Urban Spacebook', proposed as a way of sustaining proactive participation for more sustainable urban environments.

In the postdoctoral research, I explored opportunities for scaling community-based resilience initiatives (e.g., urban agriculture, circular economy, civic / cultural activation) using co-design approaches and digital technologies to connect and amplify local practices. Working in collaboration with architects and communities involved in local experiments in London, Paris and Bucharest, the research resulted in a prototype platform offering digital tools for networking, knowledge sharing, capacity building and mutual support, as a way of enhancing both local and collective resilience.
